Amy Noelle, SCPC

Certified MSC, MBSR & mPEAK Teacher · Senior Certified Professional Coach


Amy Noelle founded the Self-Compassion Coaching Academy to bridge the gap between rigorous self-compassion science and professional coaching practice. Her work is rooted in evidence-based research and the belief that lasting change begins from within.

Michelle Becker


Michelle Becker is a Marriage and Family Therapist and compassion teacher specializing in compassion in relationships. Along with Drs. Hickman, Germer and Neff, she developed the teacher training in the Mindful Self-Compassion program. She is the founder of Wise Compassion and the host of the Well Connected Relationships podcast. Michelle is the developer of the Compassion for Couples Training program, and author of the related book, Compassion for Couples: Building the Skills of Loving Connection. In her personal life she loves tending to her garden and exploring nature in her camper van.

Dr. Ashley Kuchar

Dr. Ashley Kuchar teaches self-compassion to athletes using practical, evidence-based tools to help them reset quickly, perform under pressure, and grow through setbacks. She created the RESET program, an evidence-based resilience training adapted from MSC to support both sport performance and well-being.

Dr. Steven Hickman

Mindfulness & Self-Compassion Trainer and Teacher Trainer


Dr. Steven Hickman has spent nearly three decades teaching mindfulness and self-compassion to leaders, clinicians and educators around the world. As co-developer of the Mindful Self-Compassion teacher training and founding director of the UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness, he has trained more than 2,000 teachers across 30 countries. He is also the author of Self-Compassion for Dummies.
